The Dock+ secures grant funding for expansion project in collaboration with Nova Harvest Ltd. and HFN Fisheries LP
The Dock+ is delighted to announce it has received a grant from the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The Dock+ submitted the application in partnership with Nova Harvest Ltd. and Huu-ay-aht First Nations Fisheries LP (HFN Fisheries LP). The approval of this funding will secure over $4 million towards the expansion of the Dock+ facilities, marking a significant step forward in the continued development of a thriving seafood hub in the heart of the Alberni Valley. The Dock+ Port Alberni Food Hub Kitchen Opens In partnership with the City of Port Alberni, with funding support from the Province of British Columbia and Island Coastal Economic Trust (ICET), the Port Alberni Port Authority (PAPA) is pleased to announce the opening of The Kitchen located at The Dock+ food hub. The Dock+ started operating for its aquaculture food processor anchor tenants this past July. While these businesses began operations, work continued towards the completion of the commercial kitchen space.
